RYA Competent Crew Practical run over 5 days or 2 x Weekends including Friday

VHF Radio Online Course

Course includes certificate, logbook, lunches onboard and accommodation during weekday courses

We limit our numbers on the course to ensure you have plenty of time on the helm with an experienced RYA instructor to guide you through.

How long is the licence valid?

Your licence will be registered with the RYA so the is always a record, there is no revalidation required.

Can I hire a boat using the licence?

Yes, but in Europe you are best gaining the International Certificate of Competence(ICC), this is just a paperwork exercise as you gain for the ICC with your Day skipper licence.

What dates are available

Once you book the package you can select any of our weekend or weekday course dates, as soon as you book we will send you log in details to start the online theory courses and then please just select you practical dates. The package lasts for 1 year.

We are based in Marina Port Vell in the centre of Barcelona. This is an excellent location walking distance to all the major attractions of Barcelona. From here we can head North up the coast of the Costa Brava including Blanes and Tossa De Mar or South on the Costa Dorada with Sitges and Tarragona

					  My husband and I bought a boat this summer, and although we had used it a few times, we were grateful for the tuition and confidence that our trainer, Seb,... read more was able to give us. 

Because we were offered the flexibility of completing our Level 2 Powerboat on our own boat, we were able to ask boat (and berth) specific questions and really get a feel of what we were able to achieve in our own craft.

Seb was friendly, informative, and an excellent teacher. He pitched the course at our level, and was happy to answer any and all of our questions. 

We are currently looking at further training, and will not hesitate to come straight to Torquay Watersports.
