Approx 8 to 10 Hours online learning and online test

Certificate is printed out on successful completion

Difficulty: Moderate & Informative

This course is a must for any skippered, it is a legal requirement for one person onboard to have the VHF License. The training includes all the usage of the VHF Radio and procedure from emergency calls to checking the Marina for a mooring for the night. Once you complete the online training there is a short test, then we can arrange your in person exam

How you fit into the professional maritime world, importance of correct manning, keeping skills up to date, safe management of commercial vessels, the compulsory carriage and maintenance of safety equipment and how to create and implement risk control.

How long does the license last?

The license has no expiry date.

When is the exam?

You are best to complete the Mock exam first as you have only 2 attempts to successfully pass the main exam. This is all online with multiple choice questions

There is downloads which you will need to use as references to answer the questions, especially the MGN280

					  What a fantastic two hours sailing along the coast of Barcelona. The views are amazing and such a wonderful way to get some peace and tranquility.  It was such... read more a relaxing experience. I have always loved sailing since childhood,  but I don’t get chance to do any now. This was a lovely opportunity to get back out on the water and brush those cobwebs away.

The skipper Faith, was so friendly and clearly very experienced. The safety briefing was excellent and reassured my land capped friends.

The boat called ‘No limits’ sails really well, is clean and spacious.

This is truly an experience to suit all,  My friends settled down in the cockpit, wrapped up in blankets (all provided) drinking Cava and eating Olives and snacks whilst I get involved in sailing the boat. 

I highly recommend this sailing trip to all, it really does cater for everyone.  I will be booking my next trip with Barcelona Watersports.

I havent been on a sailing boat before, so was... read more a fun experience, especially when the boat is tilting to the side.  The crew were lovely and friendly, very professional too.  Something different to do in Barcelona, away from all the crowds and the heat of the sun.
