RYA Training Courses

Learn to sail or drive powerboats with confidence from one of Barcelona’s best on-the-water training locations. We deliver a full range of RYA sailing and powerboat courses, from beginner levels through to Day Skipper, Powerboat Level 2, Powerboat Proficiency, and Yachtmaster preparation and exams.

Our training is ideal for leisure sailors, private boat owners, charter clients, and professional crew, including those working in the superyacht industry. Courses are run by friendly, highly professional RYA-qualified instructors with real-world experience, using modern sailing yachts and powerful, professional-grade RIBs suited to both recreational and commercial training.

Superyacht crew can progress through Powerboat Proficiency (PPR), advanced powerboat handling, and onward to Yachtmaster Offshore or Ocean, gaining the practical skills, confidence, and recognised qualifications required for tender driving and deck roles. Training takes place in busy harbours and open Mediterranean waters, providing realistic conditions that match industry expectations.

My daughter and I have just concluded our 2 day RYA Powerboat level 2 course with Barcelona Watersports. We had Faith as our instructor. Was a Fab experience,... read more she is obviously very skilled and knowledgable and was able to share of her wisdom in a fun and enlightening way. The RIB was great as well, with a Powerful 300 hp engine. Was windy and choppy, but that made the experience that much more realistic. Top marks all around. Great blend of theory and practice. Would 100% recommend. In fact, will try to encourage my wife and son to do the course as well!
