The RYA Personal Watercraft  mainly used for Super Yacht deck crew or if your own a Jet Ski in Spain and need a license. The RYA Personal Watercraft course and license goes through all the basic skills from Safety to handling skills.

Personal Watercraft (PWC’s) or Jet Skis, as they are commonly known, are versatile, fun and exhilarating and the course is a great day out too

Course includes use of a Jet Ski which is based in Port Forum. Fuel, certificate and handbooks are all included.

This course is also a pre requirement for the RYA PW Instructor course required by crew onboard the Super Yachts so you can provide the guest or crew PW safety certificate.

How long is the licence valid?

Your licence will be registered with the RYA so there is always a record, there is no revalidation required.

Can I hire a jet ski using the licence?

Yes, but in Europe you are best getting the International Certificate of Competence (ICC), this is just a paperwork exercise with your proficiency licence and an additional £52 fee.

  • Passport Photo for the certificate
  • Lunch money or packed lunch, there are plenty of local places to get a bite
  • Swimming costume or a wetsuit if you have one
  • Sunglasses with retainers can be useful against spray
  • Sun block on those sunny days
